KNOWLE LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY

LATEST NEWS

HOW TO JOIN

Membership is open to everyone over 18 with an interest in the history of Knowle, whether in relation to their family history or in a more general way.  Membership is not conditional upon residence: although most members are Knowle residents, others come from Solihull, Shirley, etc., with a few from further afield.

Members receive three newsletters each year and a programme card in January or February.  Other benefits include free entrance to the Society's talks, invitations (including guests) to social functions, and also the right to attend functions organised by the Friends of Warwickshire Record Office and the British Association for Local History (BALH).  The Society makes the programmes of these organisations, together with programmes of other local history societies in the area,  known to members.  Click on the link on the left to see the Society's Programme for the current year, and on the link at the top of the page to view past Newsletters.

The Society's provisions regarding membership can be found in the constitution.  We do not release our membership list or members' e-mail addresses to anyone.  Current subscription levels can be found on the membership form (download by clicking on the link below).

For those wishing to take an active part in the Society there are opportunities to join our Exhibitions Group(see below) or deliver newsletters, etc.  Please contact any member of the committee (see Contact Us) if you are interested.
